Congratulations, 51²è¹İappian

Welcome to the class of 2029.

Our nearly 1,800 students come from 49 states and more than 85 citizenships. One in every four students is a domestic student of color, one in five is international, and more than 70 languages are spoken on campus. We haven’t met you all yet, but we have every confidence that you will enrich — and be enriched by — our intentional and inclusive community of fearless learners, thoughtful leaders, kind human beings, and responsible citizens of the world.

And throughout campus, our faculty, staff, and students are invested in supporting all students, all identities, and all perspectives.

The First-Year Tutorial is your academic and social introduction to 51²è¹İapp. It’s part of the required First-Year Experience for all students, but calling Tutorial “required†doesn’t quite do it justice.

Staying safe and supported

The College takes your health, wellness, and safety seriously, monitors local and state legislation, and is proud to have received the 2024 Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention, which recognizes institutions of higher education that demonstrate leadership in the areas of student safety, well being, and inclusion.

Counseling and Medical Services

On-campus resources include in-person and virtual appointments with nurses, licensed psychologists, mental health counselors, social workers, a family therapist, and a physician assistant. They dispense over-the-counter medications and can prescribe medications as needed. They can also schedule appointments with local providers as needed.

Academic Support

Academic Advising works with students on nearly any academic concern. They consult with you about study skills and time management and offer peer tutoring. During times of personal challenge, the team supports students, explains academic policies, and can discuss how to apply for a leave of absence.
