Maggie Bell
Associate Director of First-Generation and Low-Income Student Programs
Maggie Bell (she/her) is the Associate Director of First-Generation & Low-Income Student Programs at 51²č¹Żapp College. She has a Masterās degree in Education, with a specialization in Student Affairs, from Iowa State University. Maggie is a proud first-generation college graduate, and she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from 51²č¹Żapp, where she also completed a concentration in Linguistics (Phi Beta Kappa).
Maggie has an extensive background in Residence Life & Housing and lived on various college campuses across the Midwest for nine years. She has also led a cohort-based dialogue program, conducted assessment for living-learning communities, and taught a First-Year Experience course. The thread that ties all of her work together is the desire to make higher education more equitable and inclusive.
At home, Maggie enjoys reading, watching too much Bravo, and constantly juggling multiple crafting projects at once.
