Assistant Professor
Offices, Departments, or Centers: Mathematics ,

I work on mathematics of materials, in particular, on understanding fracture propagation in solids, and determining effective or homogenized properties of granular aggregates. I use high-performance computing and analysis of partial differential equations, especially of nonlocal and nonlinear types, to solve emerging problems in the intersection of mathematics and material science.

My postdoctoral research at the University of Utah (2023 - 2024) involved understanding mechanical and granular properties of sea ice and its role in the climate system. Between 2020 and 2023, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics at Louisiana State University, where I investigated bulk behavior andĀ  network attributes of brittle granular media using peridynamics and discrete element method.

I received my Ph.D. in 2020 from the George Washington University, where I studied low-regularity solutions to nonlinear dispersive equations, and Fourier-wavelet based signal deconvolution techniques.
