Deborah Dodge
Ombudsperson
Deborah Dodge brings a wealth of experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and fostering inclusive environments, having served in various roles in higher education, most recently as the university ombudsperson at Central Michigan University. She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University and has earned the Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP®) credential through the International Ombuds Association.
She serves as a confidential, impartial resource for faculty, staff, and students, helping to resolve conflicts and navigate challenges related to campus life. The Ombuds office provides resources for all members of our community to address their concerns and work toward solutions, in line with the ethical principles of confidentiality, informality, impartiality, and independence.
Dodge’s extensive background in conflict resolution and organizational dynamics includes years of experience working directly with diverse campus populations and a nuanced understanding of unique challenges within higher education. Her collaborative approach focuses on empowering individuals to navigate conflicts with confidence and clarity.
