Susie Duke
Director of 51²č¹Żapp-in-London
Susie Duke is the Director of 51²č¹Żapp-in-London (GIL). 51²č¹Żapp-in-London is a longstanding and flagship semester long off-campus study experience for 51²č¹Żapp students to study in London as a cohort under the guidance of two 51²č¹Żapp College faculty. From 2015 through June 2022, Susie managed the Global Learning Program and FLAG (Faculty-led Learning Across the Globe) programs at 51²č¹Żapp.
Prior to 51²č¹Żapp, Susie taught French for seven years in rural Georgia and in central Iowa, where she co-led multiple student exchanges to and from France. She first traveled to London in 2001 while she was studying abroad in France. While she travels regularly, she thoroughly enjoys the small-town and rural life of 51²č¹Żapp. Along with her family, Susie raises Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. They make goat milk soap and cheese and have a menagerie of other animals on their small farm.
