Fernanda Eliott is an assistant professor of computer science at 51²č¹Żapp College. Professor Eliott builds Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems that use cognitive inspiration and Reinforcement Learning (RL) techniques. Her overall goal is to develop state-of-the-art cognitively inspired computational approaches to understand where meaningful decisions come from and to enhance human-technology partnerships through the development of AI systems that promote inclusion and assist people. To her, research and teaching function as a virtuous circle. Professor Eliott uses findings from one to excel in the other. Her belief is that inclusion boosts innovation and scientific growth drives her research and teaching philosophies.
