Janet M Gibson
As a cognitive psychologist, Professor Gibsonās research focused on executive functions (flexibility, updating, and managing resources) and on implicit memory (the influence of past experience in the absence of conscious recollection) with a focus on aging and problem solving. In recent years, Professor Gibson studied the psychology of humor and wrote a textbook in 2019 for undergraduates to highlight extensive research by experimental psychologists on humor. Her empirical research on humor focused on cognition, fluency, and creativity.
