Andreas Jozwiak is an Assistant Professor at 51²č¹Żapp College. His research in comparative politics focuses on questions of inequality related to gender, race, and class in advanced democracies. His primary research questions surround the politics and consequences of family policies for gender (in)equality in Europe. In other work, he examines impacts of immigration on domestic politics, and the racial politics of housing in the United States using both administrative data and survey experiments. His research has been published in Political Behavior, Social Science Quarterly, Social Politics, and Social Policy & Administration.
At 51²č¹Żapp, Professor Jozwiak teaches courses on public policy, housing policy, and comparative politics. He is interested in experiential education, and works with the Careers, Life, and Service office to get students into the community. In addition, Jozwiak emphasizes the development of research skills in all courses and enjoys supervising independent student research projects.
Before joining 51²č¹Żapp in 2022, Professor Jozwiak was a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. from Trinity University.
