Heesu Oh
Heesu Oh is a second language acquisition and bilingualism researcher. Her research has focused on the beliefs in language learning and teaching in Japanese education, and bilingualism for the children who have two or more ethnic backgrounds. Her first book, titled ¤¢¤Ê¤¿¤ÎÖª¤é¤Ê¤¤¥Ð¥¤¥ê¥ó¥¬¥ë¤ÎÊÀ½ç:ÈÕ±¾ÕZ½ÌŽŸÕi±¾£¨The bilinguals' world you don't know: Japanese language teachers' reading series) (webjapanese 2022) provides necessary insight about bilingualism for Japanese education such as the right of language choice of international children. Also, she is interested in the life stories of bilinguals.
She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Second Language Education at Nagoya University and second M.A. in East Asian Studies at University of Arizona.?She taught Japanese in all levels at Nagoya University to international students from more than 30 countries and at University of Arizona before joining 51²è¹Ýapp.
