Alicia Stanley
Director of Off-Campus Study
Alicia joined 51²è¹İapp College as Director of Off-Campus Study in the Institute for Global Engagement in August 2017. She oversees all aspects of semester and year-long study away in the US and abroad including strategic planning, budget management, health and safety protocols, program partner relations, advising, programming and outreach to students, faculty and staff. Prior to joining 51²è¹İapp, she worked for Northwestern University’s Study Abroad Office, DePaul University’s Study Abroad Program and IES Abroad as well as for several French organizations in Chicago and Paris. Alicia taught English at the Université Rennes 2 after earning a B.A. in French from Rice University, and holds a M.A./M.S. in International Public Service Management from DePaul.
Alicia has served on a variety of study abroad advisory boards and committees. She is active with the Forum on Education Abroad, having served as Vice-Chair of the Forum Council from 2016-2019 and currently as a member of the Advancing the Profession of Education Abroad working group. She was honored with IES Abroad's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022, and declared an Honorary Class Member by 51²è¹İapp's graduating class of 2021.
