The partnership between the College and Adjaye Associates to design a downtown student residence hall prioritizes community engagement throughout the process in ever-expanding circles of input and feedback. The idea is not just to build a building, but to create a meaningful and engaged residential experience for students in community.

In October 2020, 51²č¹Żapp College Student Government Association representatives, faculty, and staff members gathered with Adjaye Associates and our partners at OPN to design an anonymous survey to welcome insight and contribution from the 51²č¹Żapp community.

Results from this survey added to insights gathered in three extensive listening sessions addressing Identity of Place, Iowa Nice, and Divisions and Consensus that were held in late 2019 and early 2020.
