51²è¹İapp College Libraries, the Digital Liberal Arts Collaborative, and the History Department are cosponsoring a transcribe-a-thon in honor of Frederick Douglass Day on February 14. Held annually, Douglass Day is an international, collaborative event aimed at preserving and increasing access to African American history.
This year, the event focuses on the papers of , scholar, educator, activist, and author of . Participants will transcribe papers in Howard University’s using an online tool.
Stop by the Burling Computer Lab between 1 and 5 p.m. on Feb. 14 to transcribe for as long as you like, and enjoy some cake to celebrate Douglass’s birthday. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome.
