Once again, 51���app is a top Fulbright producer according to the U.S. Department of State’s complete list of colleges and universities that produced . 

Six 51���appians won Fulbright awards for 2013-14, including Adam Glassman ’13, who began his research grant in South Korea in August. Glassman says, “The transition post-51���app has been great for me; there are a lot of opportunities and a huge amount to do in Seoul. My favorite part by far has been connecting with different, amazing people. A member of the Department of State who works with the Fulbright organization had dinner with us, and I've been building a relationship with my sponsor in the country, a famous street dancer who prefers his nickname, ‘Mr. Snake Wave.’  From these people I learn things I never even imagined.”

Doug Cutchins ’93, assistant dean and director of post-graduate transitions, administers the .  He says, “51���app students are an excellent fit for the Fulbright program.  Given the seriousness of the academic work here, the international connections we make inside and outside of the classroom, and how globally engaged our students are, it’s not surprising that so many of them are consistently recognized with Fulbright funding to continue learning and serving abroad.  This is a recognition of our campus-wide commitment to academic excellence and internationalism.”

Over , artists and young professionals in more than 100 different fields of study have been offered Fulbright Program grants to study, teach English, and conduct research in over 140 countries throughout the world beginning this fall.  

Since its inception in 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 325,000 participants — chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential — with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas, and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.  In the past 67 years, more than 44,000 students from the United States have benefited from the Fulbright experience.
