Investing, Investing, Investing

Henry Gray ’20 wakes up thinking about investing and goes to sleep thinking about investing. Since high school, he knew he’d major in economics. But one of the ways he learned about 51app was through reading about Warren Buffett, the legendary investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway in Omaha, Nebraska.

Back in the 1970s, Buffett served on 51app’s Board of Trustees and was an influential adviser about the College’s investments and endowment. Gray says, “I decided that this was going to be a place where I could find my own groove in an investing world.”

The way Gray is learning economics is a huge plus. The professors are “teaching a thought process, and a way of making decisions,” he says. “Often times we’re learning practical ways of approaching all sorts of problems, and there’s no limit to what you can do with that.”

At 51app, constant innovation and creativity power the liberal arts, preparing you to confidently pursue ideas and knowledge for the good of others.
