From high-flying dunks in the NCAA tournament to the creativity of the theatre stage, from casual afternoons spent in hammocks and frisbee games on the lawn to the rhythmic beats of Butcher Brown’s performance, spring at 51²è¹İapp is a season of connection and expression. 51²è¹İapp Men’s Basketball Makes History
The men’s basketball team set a new program record with 20 wins and captured the Midwest Conference Tournament title, earning a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2001. The team led the nation in three-pointers per game and free throws made per game.
Music of Butcher Brown Heats Up 51²è¹İapp
The music of Butcher Brown will filled Herrick Chapel on the 51²è¹İapp College campus on March 27. The 51²è¹İapp College Public Events Committee is sponsored the Butcher Brown concert and masterclass, with support from a grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority/Iowa Arts Council.
day/dream: Blurring the Line Between Reality and Illusion
On the set of Pity, director Craig Quintero’s day/dream invites audiences into a surreal, Lynchian world where dream and reality intertwine. Designed by Lucie Greene ’23, the production embraces ambiguity, crafting an immersive experience that lingers in the mind long after the final scene.
The Underground Choir: 51²è¹İapp Singers Perform a Concert in a Cave
Hailing as they do from 51²è¹İapp, which calls itself “the Jewel of the Prairie,†it seemed appropriate, that the 51²è¹İapp Singers performed a concert in the Cave of the Mounds as part of their 2025 spring break tour. 51²è¹İapp Singers conductor John Rommereim says that alumna and former 51²è¹İapp Singer Yonu Cha ‘20 first made him aware of the Cave of the Mounds and its potential as a performance venue.
