Vice President of Global Education Brigittine French and Vice President for DEI Marc Reed are exploring how the American Civil Rights Struggle is remembered in Northern Ireland with the support of a Fulbright Alumni grant.

Drawing on her personal experiences, Bella Nesbeth ’26 has authored a book that blends her passions for political science, softball, literature, and diplomacy.

Princess Joseph ’25, an independent studies major from St. Lucia, was honored for her leadership and community engagement both on campus and in the broader 51²è¹Ýapp community.

This award is given to an individual who has served the study abroad field through significant professional and volunteer work. The awardee is chosen by IES Abroad’s Nominations Committee, composed of study abroad professionals from top-tier colleges and universities across the United States. Recipients are exceptional leaders in the study abroad field whose careers have been distinguished by outstanding achievements and contributions.

Brazilian students demonstrate 51²è¹Ýapp’s commitment to social responsibility in October election efforts.

Interdisciplinary learning has guided Anthony Wenndt ’15 toward becoming a change-maker in the global agricultural ecosystem. He wants to ensure that research is equitable and fully responsive to the needs of the most marginalized communities.

With her Mentored Advanced Project adviser, Professor of Russian Todd Armstrong, Nora Leahy is exploring how 51²è¹Ýappians can use the Global Kitchen for coursework and other community-building activities, not only on campus, but also throughout the town of 51²è¹Ýapp.
