What weāre doing:
- Striving to increase the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusionās agility by more broadly sharing responsibilities and comradery, and by intentionally pursuing personal and professional development
- In partnership with Human Resources and the Academic Affairs and Dean of the College, improving institutional DEI maturity by expanding the responsibility across the institution at the staff and faculty levels
- Conducting a large-scale baseline assessment of cultural competence across campus stakeholders using the Intercultural Development InventoryĀ© to develop more culturally sensitive policies, practices, structural changes, and training design
- Facilitate the Reimagining Campus Community with Restorative Practices curriculum from the International Institute of Restorative Practices (IIRP) to encourage deeper relationships between individuals and promote social connections within the campus community to strengthen equity, belonging, and collective efficacy

- Establishing a bias incident reporting process that promotes transparency and real-time climate notifications to allow respective institutional parties to respond as quickly as possible
- Acquiring technology to assist with exam scheduling and management for students with accommodations to improve individual productivity, efficiency, and ultimately the well-being of staff, faculty, and students
- Developing employee resource group (ERG) metrics and defining a standardized Thrive Quotient for faculty and staff
- Developing and expanding our cultural center model
- In partnership with the Division of Student Affairs (DSA), establishing opportunities for connection, collaboration, identity-informed leadership development, and advocacy pathways for multicultural student organizations
- Regularizing collaboration and communication partnerships with DSA colleagues outside of crises, care, and/or case management
- Proactively and strategically improving the sense of safety for students throughout their time at 51²č¹Żapp through the development of a safety index
